Sweet Potato Pie

It looks like a pumpkin pie–style baked custard (or sweet-potato pie), smooth and orange with a slightly caramelized top. Here’s a simple recipe that matches what you showed:

🎃

Easy Pumpkin Pie (No-Crust or With Crust)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (about 450 g) pumpkin purée (or mashed sweet potato)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar (or ¾ cup if you prefer less sweet)
  • 1 cup milk or cream (evaporated milk also works)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ginger
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp cloves (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

(Optional: 1 unbaked pie crust if you want it with crust)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix the pumpkin purée, sugar, spices, and salt.
  3. Add the eggs, whisk well.
  4. Add the milk (or cream) and melted butter, then stir until smooth.
  5. Pour into a buttered glass pie dish (like yours)
    — or pour into an unbaked pie crust.
  6. Bake for 45–55 minutes
(the center should be slightly jiggly but not liquid).
  7. Let it cool completely so it sets.

Tip

If you want the shiny spots on top (like in your photo), brush lightly with a bit of melted butter as soon as it comes out of the oven.
