Caramel Swirl Banana Bread
Ingredients
For the Banana Bread Batter
• 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• ½ tsp salt
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
• ½ cup (100 g) brown sugar
• ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
• ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted & slightly cooled
• 2 large eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (≈ 2–3 medium)
• ¼ cup (60 ml) buttermilk or plain yogurt
For the Caramel Swirl
• ½ cup (120 ml) caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)
• (Optional) pinch of sea salt for salted caramel effect
Instructions
1 Preheat & Prepare Pan
◦ Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
◦ Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan and line the bottom with parchment paper (leaving overhang for easy lifting).
2 Mix Dry Ingredients
◦ In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using). Set aside.
3 Mix Wet Ingredients
◦ In a larger bowl, whisk melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until combined.
