Introduction: This cheesy sausage and broccoli casserole is a delicious, easy-to-make comfort food dish. With hearty sausage, nutritious broccoli, and a melty cheese topping, it’s perfect for a family dinner or a crowd-pleasing side dish!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb sausage (your choice: chicken, pork, or beef sausage), sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with a little olive oil or non-stick spray.
  2. Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Broccoli: If using fresh broccoli, steam or blanch it for 3-4 minutes until tender but still firm. If using frozen broccoli, just thaw and drain excess moisture.
  4. Assemble the Casserole: In the greased baking dish, layer the cooked sausage, followed by the broccoli. Sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Pour the heavy cream over the top.
  5. Add Cheese: Top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown on top.
  7. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve hot!

Note: This dish can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for a quick meal later. Simply reheat in the oven for a few minutes before serving!
