Ingredients (2–3 servings)
Shrimp
- 400 g shrimp, peeled & deveined
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- ½ tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
Creamy Garlic Sauce
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup cooking cream (or heavy cream)
- ¼ cup chicken or vegetable broth
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- ¼ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan (optional but delicious)
- Fresh parsley, chopped
To Serve
- Steamed white rice or mashed potatoes
Instructions
- Season & sear shrimp
Toss shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Heat oil/butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside. - Make garlic base
In the same pan, melt butter.
Add garlic and sauté 20–30 seconds (don’t brown). - Create the sauce
Pour in broth and cream.
Add Italian seasoning, chili flakes, and Parmesan.
Simmer 3–4 minutes until slightly thick. - Finish
Return shrimp to pan and simmer 1–2 minutes.
Taste and adjust seasoning. - Serve
Sprinkle with parsley and serve over hot rice.
Tips
- Use large shrimp for best texture
- Add a squeeze of lemon juice at the end for balance
- For extra richness, finish with ½ tbsp butter
