Ingredients
Vanilla Cream Layer
- 500 ml milk
- 1 can (395 g) sweetened condensed milk
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Chocolate Topping
- 500 ml milk
- 4 tbsp cocoa powder
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 1 packet (12 g) unflavored gelatin
- 5 tbsp cold water
Instructions
1. Make the Vanilla Cream
- In a saucepan, whisk together milk, condensed milk, cream, cornstarch, and vanilla.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick and smooth.
- Pour into a glass serving dish and let cool slightly.
2. Make the Chocolate Layer
- Sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let bloom for 5 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine milk, cocoa powder, and sugar.
- Heat until hot but not boiling.
- Remove from heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin until dissolved.
- Let cool for about 10 minutes.
3. Assemble
- Carefully pour the chocolate mixture over the vanilla cream layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.
Serving
Cut into squares and serve chilled. The result is a creamy vanilla base topped with a smooth chocolate jelly layer, just like in the picture. 🍫🍮
