Garlic Butter Mushrooms Recipe
Ingredients (2–3 servings)
- 400 g button or baby mushrooms, cleaned
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tsp dried thyme or Italian herbs
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional, for deep umami flavor)
- 1 tsp lemon juice or balsamic vinegar (optional)
- Fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
- Heat the pan
- Heat olive oil and butter together in a wide pan over medium-high heat.
- Sear mushrooms
- Add mushrooms in a single layer.
- Do not stir for 2–3 minutes to get a deep golden color.
- Stir and cook another 3–4 minutes until browned.
- Add garlic & herbs
- Lower heat slightly.
- Add garlic and herbs, stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Season
- Add salt, black pepper, and soy sauce (if using).
- Toss well so mushrooms are fully coated and glossy.
- Finish
- Add lemon juice or balsamic vinegar.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Tips for Perfect Mushrooms
- Don’t overcrowd the pan—this prevents steaming.
- Use high heat for caramelization.
- Butter + olive oil gives flavor without burning.
