🧾 Ingredients (2–3 servings)

  • 400 g button or baby mushrooms, cleaned
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or Italian herbs
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional, for deep umami flavor)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice or balsamic vinegar (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, finely chopped

  1. Heat the pan
    • Heat olive oil and butter together in a wide pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Sear mushrooms
    • Add mushrooms in a single layer.
    • Do not stir for 2–3 minutes to get a deep golden color.
    • Stir and cook another 3–4 minutes until browned.
  3. Add garlic & herbs
    • Lower heat slightly.
    • Add garlic and herbs, stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Season
    • Add salt, black pepper, and soy sauce (if using).
    • Toss well so mushrooms are fully coated and glossy.
  5. Finish
    • Add lemon juice or balsamic vinegar.
    • Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot.
